COVID-19

What are your current COVID-19 protocols?

Your heath, my health, and the health of all your loved ones is my top priority!

I take COVID safety very seriously.

I am fully vaccinated & boosted and continue to remain masked with a KN95 rated mask or higher throughout all aspects of every photo session, indoors and out, out of an abundance of caution and respect for the safety of us all.

When I'm not taking photos I continue to mask in all public settings and do my best to keep other interactions to a minimum.

Mitigating risk is key here! To do this I test frequently to ensure I am aware of my COVID status and its implications. If you have access to testing I urge you to test before our session as well.

I ask that you please remain masked for all portions of our session when possible aside from when you're being photographed, especially when indoors and/or proper ventilation is not possible. If you are feeling unwell or are positive for COVID we will reschedule to a time when you're feeling better!

I bring a HEPA filter along with me to any indoor sessions and will crack a window to keep clean air circulating freely!

When traveling, extra time may need to be built in as a buffer between sessions/due to travel to accommodate mitigating risk of exposure between clients.

During longer events, such as elopements or weddings at which there is a portion of the day where eating/drinking is necessary I will only take my mask off in open air areas outdoors away from crowds or in a room that is completely separate from all other unmasked folks.

Are you flexible if we have to re-schedule or move our photo session date due to COVID-19 related happenings?

Of course! Rules and regulations may continue to be subject to unexpected shifts as we continue through the pandemic especially in regards to events like weddings, and what type of activities are allowed and safe to participate in. Becoming ill may also impact scheduling. I will work with you to ensure we're all on the same page if any re-scheduling or shifting needs to happen.

Are you prioritizing any particular type of sessions right now?

Photo sessions with less people that take place outside are the safest (and arguably most fun) kind of session to have right now! Short-notice elopements, small adventurous intimate weddings with less than 20 total guests, and portrait sessions with 2 people or less make up the majority of my sessions right now, and likely will for the foreseeable future!

I want to document your amazing days, but I want to do so in the safest way possible for us all and at this moment this type of session and setting has proven to be the best way to do so!

I feel sick, but I don't want to miss our photo session!

Please stay home if you're feeling ill at all, especially if you're experiencing any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19. This keeps you safe, and gives you space to recover, and protects me from falling ill which in turn protects all the other kind folks I'll be working with after you as well! We will reschedule our session to a time when you're feeling your best!

GENERAL

How many hours coverage do I REALLY need on my wedding day?

In my experience a full day of nuptials that include preparations, a ceremony, formal portraits, and an after-party require a minimum of 7 hours of photo coverage for larger weddings and at least 4 hours of coverage for intimate weddings and elopements.

This gives me enough time to document all of the main events while still giving you and your sweetie(s) some time to breathe, stay in the moment, and take in the feelings of your day!

Depending on your plans for the day different photo coverage times may be appropriate so please reach out if you’re not sure, to discuss your plans and options.

Do you photograph your sessions with a second photographer?

I typically photograph solo, and love it!

However, there are definitely times where adding a second photographer is a wise choice, such as when it’s physically impossible for one person to be at two different locations at the same time, or when there’s a time crunch at your event (or if you’d just like a little extra coverage).

Ask me about adding a second photographer to your session if this sounds like something you’d like to learn more about.

Do you work with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled folks, ?

ABSOLUTELY YES!

All people are celebrated here.

As a queer chronically ill person myself, I really truly get how important it is to have safe, visible spaces and folks that celebrate our joy!

I am a vehement believer that every individual has the right to have beautiful photos of themselves. Photos that capture them being 100% true to themselves and living authentically, that honor their culture and background, and that consenting adults have the right to be with whomever they so wish and to express their love freely.

All types of love–self-love, platonic love, romantic love, and beyond, I’m here for it!

What’s paramount is that I’m chronicling the love you hold and share with those that matter most to you in a way that feels true and honest.

I’m here to capture your story as you experience it, there’s no room for judgement or policing of love, expression, or lived experience here.

Do you shoot film along with digital photographs during sessions?

I got my start into the world of photography on film and it is my go-to for personal work.

It's not uncommon for me to bring a film camera along with me in my bag, or snag a couple polaroids when I have the film.

If you would like specific film coverage of your session, or a part of your event, film shooting can be added to any session just let me know if that strikes your fancy!

Will we meet up before our session day?

Establishing and maintaining a connection with you is fundamental to the way that I make photographs.

The photos we make together will be all about YOU after all!

Whenever possible, some sort of contact past just an email exchange is recommended before booking with me.

Whether you’re local and we meet up for a hot cup of socially-distanced tea, or you’re off in a far away land and a video chat is more in the cards, we’ll talk face to face before you’re stuck with me.

It is of utmost importance to me that you feel secure and confident that we’re the perfect creative match, and that you’ll feel comfortable knowing I’ll be up close and personal to document some monumental moments during our session, so we’ll be sure to share some face-time with each other before I show up!

I want my session to be published, can we do that?

WE CAN CERTAINLY DO OUR BEST!

If you’re planning a session with the hopes of getting it published in the end please speak with me about that before we shoot!

Many publishing avenues have specific requirements that are easier to plan for before shooting than they are to try to accommodate for afterwards.

As a gentle reminder, all inquiries regarding commercial use or copyright release (publishing online or in print) must go through me prior to any distribution of images or approval for use.

Let’s work together to make this happen!

Should I fill out a shot list or compile some inspirational photos for you to reference?

Inspiration is a lovely thing to take aspects from when you’re planning your session, and it can be so helpful in leading you down the creative path you hope to take while we shoot.

I have a running shot list in my head, and am not big on feeling like I have to remove myself from being present in the moment of documenting what's unfolding naturally to check through an additional shot list that spans beyond the most important must-haves, so no need to compile a list unless it helps you plan!

If you’ve booked me for nuptials, I send a form straight to your inbox for you to fill in with all that information (and more) about 6 weeks before your wedding day, and you’re free to add any of your inspiration and those must-have shots to that form then.

Are you open to non-traditional and quirky sessions?

I am open to documenting pretty much anything that’s legal.

Non-traditional and off the beaten path are my bread and butter and I’m always looking to shoot something new and adventurous.

Got some ideas? Let’s talk.

DELIVERABLES

How many photos will I get when all is said and done?

I'm a big believer in quality over quantity.

In such I don't guarantee a set number of photographs as it is a variable number based on too many factors to count (length of coverage, amount of details or events to be captured, addition of a second photographer, etc).

I make sure to weed out any photos where you're blinking or sneezing, so unless you specifically request those, don't expect to find them them in the mix.

On average, you can expect to receive around 50-75 final edited shots per hour of coverage.

When can I expect to receive my images?

Turnaround time is dependent on the season and the amount of sessions I have booked around yours.

An average of 6-10 weeks is typical for complete nuptial gallery delivery and 2-4 weeks is common for portrait sessions.

You’ll likely see a handful of sneak peeks within the first 48 hours of your session to hold you over though!

How will I receive the photographs?

You will receive a link to an online gallery with all of your images available for high-resolution direct download.

You are also able, and encouraged, to share your gallery with family and friends.

What resolution are images delivered in?

I deliver all photographs in the highest resolution possible following image processing.

Most images are saved at 20 megapixels or above and are more than sufficient for personal use and printing purposes.

Who owns the copyright of the images?

I retain the copyright of all of the images from your session, but my contract specifically outlines personal print and media permissions for any non-commercial usage including sharing to social media and printing images for personal use.

Any commercial usage needs to be approved by me prior to any distribution of images or approval for use (ie: submitting to blogs or other vendors for promotional use, being featured on another instagram account, publishing in magazines, etc).

Please let me know if you have any concerns about your privacy or photo usage rights.

Do you offer prints?

YES!

I believe that having a tangible representation of your images is so important when sharing your own story as time passes!

Who doesn’t love breaking out old photos to share memories over?

All prints can be ordered straight from your online gallery through a hand-picked selection of professional printing services. Varying sizes and paper-types are available for you to choose from. You can pick and pay for any prints you'd like right from your gallery's storefront!

What about albums?

Albums are also an option that can be selected right from your gallery's storefront!

Albums are entirely customized and you can compile your whole album and select your photos for the page layouts of your album right from your gallery.

Once you've confirmed your choices and placed an order your album will be sent to production!

Album completion and delivery takes an average of 6-12 weeks once an order is placed and will be delivered straight to you.

TRAVEL

Where are you based out of?

I am currently based in sweet sweet Vermont baby!

I love being nestled deep in the expansive nature scenes of rural Vermont while simultaneously having quick access to all the wonder that the greater New England area has to offer!

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes, barring any restrictions related to COVID-19 or otherwise.

Whether to a neighboring county, or somewhere far beyond as long as it's safe to travel I am open to and excited for any opportunities to roam and take in the beautiful world we share.
